A walk through the typical conversation, from the first 5-minute call to whatever comes next. No surprises, no pressure tactics, no hidden steps. If you're nervous about booking a call, this is the page for you.
Most first calls take 5 to 15 minutes. We don't talk about products yet — we talk about your situation. Who's depending on your income? What are you worried about? What's the actual goal — protecting the mortgage, replacing income, leaving final-expense money for your family?
The conversation starts with the human side. The product comes later, if it comes at all. If at the end of this call we both agree you're already covered well, we end there.
After we talk, I figure out which carriers are likely to underwrite your situation well. That depends on your age, health, what you're trying to cover, and a few other variables. Different carriers underwrite very differently — what's a polite decline at one company can be an easy approval at another.
I move just as fast as the major online insurance brands you've seen on TV — usually back to you within a day or two — but with access to more carriers and better-fitted coverage than the one-size-fits-all options they tend to push.
On a follow-up call, we walk through 2 or 3 actual options together. Different carriers, different coverage amounts, different riders. I'll tell you what's strong about each and what isn't.
We fill out the application together. It's mostly health questions and a few logistics. Because I work with many carriers — depending on your history — you may not need a medical exam at all. In plain English: no doctor visit required to be insured. I'll handle the back-and-forth with the carrier and keep you updated as it processes.
Once your policy is approved and active, I check in periodically. Big life changes — marriage, divorce, new kid, new mortgage, a major birthday — usually mean it's time to revisit your coverage. You can also call any time with questions.
The relationship doesn't end when the application closes. That's just the beginning.
